Highest earthquake in the World

The World's largest earthquake was recorded on 22 May,1960 near Valdivia in Southern Chile, with a magnitude 9.5; assigned by the United States Geological Survey.It is referred to as the "Great Chilean Earthquake" and the "1960 Valdivia Earthquake".
It was the largest earthquake of 20th Century.The 1960 Valdivia Earthquake was accounted for greater than 20 percent of the global seismic release.
