According to scientific point of view the earthquake occurs when two plate boundaries collide with each other and Scientists also say that earthquake occurs at major faults.Scientists use an instrument known as seismograph.The magnitude of energy released by an earthquake is calculated using the Richter Scale.The Richter Scale was named after Charles developed this scale in 1935.
